We are a modified American plan lake resort, offering historic main lodge rooms and free-standing cottages and homes.

Located on 16 wooded acres overlooking beautiful, sparkling clear 300 acre Lake Cora, Oak Cove Resort in Lawrence, Michigan has been a fantastic and relaxing vacation destination for individuals, couples and families alike - Operating continuously since 1910!   Located only a 2 hour car ride through the rural countryside from both Chicago, Illinois and Detroit, Michigan, Oak Cove Resort was recently selected as One of the Top 25 Cottage Resorts by Midwest Living Magazine.

Included in our 2008 low rates are rustic lodge rooms and individual cottages, Complete breakfasts and sumptuous dinners every day, many amenities including unlimited use of rowboats, canoes and paddleboats, a heated in-ground pool, 500' of private sandy resort beach, volleyball, badminton, shuffleboard, horseshoes, bicycles, nature trails and FREE GOLF daily at nearby Lake Cora Hills GC.   Plentiful area attractions include some great antiquing, an absolutely huge weekend flea market throughout the summer, shopping, Paw Paw winery tasting and tours, U-Pick fruit farms, Lake Michigan beaches, go-karts, power boat and jet ski rentals, miniature golf, tennis, and much more.

Your hosts, Susan and Bob Wojcik, have been welcoming families since 1974, and they continue to enjoy meeting new guests and seeing old friends return year after year.  Susan still does most of the cooking, and Bob will make sure you always have enough food (meals are all you can eat!).  Susan published a  recipe / story book, Oak Cove Treasure Trove in 1996 that contains some real Oak Cove Resort favorites.  2nd PRINTING NOW AVAILABLE.  

Oak Cove Resort is open during the Michigan summer season, from early June through Labor Day.  Although most of our guests stay for the week, we do make arrangements for Bed & Breakfast weekends or other shorter duration stays as circumstances allow.  We also specialize in family reunions and can accommodate up to 80 people at a time.  Space for these types of gatherings does fill up quickly, so please inquire well in advance of your desired event dates.
