People ask both Bob and me all the time, "What is it like to run a small summer        
 resort, and how do you manage all of the work it requires?"   I can tell you that
 after decades of doing this, with all of the wonderful people we've met from all
over the United States and the world, watching families and friends come back
year after year - their children growing up before us - we wouldn't have it any
other way.  This continues to be a labor of love, one that allows us to serve
others and be a part of people's lives during what is truly a very precious and
special time in the American experience - the family summer vacation.  Here
are only a sample of the comments we frequently receive from our guests that

Just a short note filled with thanks for a wonderful time.  The food was wonderful and
the service was second to none.  Thanks you so very much for making our week so
memorable.  The kids couldn't wait to get home and tell all their stories.  It was such
a relaxing time and thank you for being the wonderful people that you are.  I do think
 that if you are going to offer such wonderful rich food there should be a treadmill

I didn't have a chance to come say goodbye and thank you before we left yesterday!
 In spite of everything, we had a great time at Oak Cove and will have lots of wonderful
 memories to treasure in years to come.  I don't know if you heard about it, but the kids
 even made up and "Oak Cove Cheer", which named some of their favorite features of
 the Oak Cove, including the pool frogs and horse flies!  Thanks, especially, for your
concern about Mom and for your flexibility with us at mealtimes.  We all agreed that if
something like Mom's event had to occur, we couldn't have been in a much better place

I just wanted to write so I could thank you for such a wonderful time.  The kids, Bob and
 I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.  It was so nice not to have to cook, but we all ate way
too much.  The pool and the beach were beautiful and my kids are in love with the

 one of the most welcoming and relaxing atmospheres that I’ve found.  The food is
consistently good, and best of all, there are no dishes to do afterwards!  My wife

and reading.  I can also let my kids run without worry, knowing they are busy
 exploring the beach and trails and enjoying the property.  They keep busy all
 day long swimming, looking for frogs and turtles, or playing games or pool

 really refreshing time for my family - We can all actually relax for a week,
